Patients & Family Information
Visiting Hours
Patients may receive visitors 7 days a week. For patients on Unit A, visitation hours are from 4:00 - 4:30 PM. For patients on Unit B, visitation hours are from 4:30 - 5:00.
Expectations to these timeframes can sometimes be accommodated. Please contact the hospital for additional information if you have any such requests.
Phone Calls
Patients can be called between 9 AM – 9 PM and our staff will transfer you to the patient phone. We do not have private phones in the patients' rooms.
Visiting Area
Visitors are not permitted in patients’ rooms. Due to safety issues, visiting will take place in the Day Area or Media Room.
Clothing
Patients are provided with hospital-issued scrubs upon admission. Any clothing brought in with them is generally washed (when able), stored, and returned to patient upon discharge.
Due to limited storage space, we cannot hold multiple belongings including, but limited to, large pieces of luggage, multiple backpacks, etc.
Prohibited Items
To provide and maintain safety in the facility, the following items are not allowed to be brought onto the unit at any time. These items include but are not limited to:
- Razors are prohibited on the units. Shaving is allowed under staff supervision. Disposable razors are provided by the hospital.
- Admitted patients can bring makeup in with them, but this will be stored with patient's belongings. It can be made available for use if the patient's doctor/provider approves. This is on a case-by-case basis.
- If flowers are sent, they need to be kept at the nurses' station for safety reasons, but can be placed in open view for all patients and staff to see.
- Elicit drugs are prohibited, without exception.
- Unopened cigarette packs can be brought in, but are stored with hospital staff. Patients are provided their cigarettes for scheduled smoking breaks. Patients are not allowed to keep cigarettes on their person during their stay.
- Knives, scissors, tools, belts, curling irons, hair dryers, shoelaces or any items which could be used as a potential weapon can be brought in at intake, but are strictly prohibited on the patients' units due to safety concerns. These items would be itemized during the intake and stored with patient's belongings. They are returned to patients upon discharge.
